True to its name, Karts & Coasters has two Go-Kart tracks and two Wooden Roller Coasters in the map. But with their excitement ratings going from 7.24 to 9.54, they're already a humongous draw for customers. With over 300 guests already in the park, getting up to 1,000 in 3 years shouldn't be a problem. The only tricky issue is the land itself as the park is not only filled with hills but is established in a very dense forest, making cutting down those trees a more expensive task than usual.

First, go to the rides you already have and raise their prices significantly. With how high their excitement and intensity ratings the roller coasters are, Big Woodchip can go as high as $7.70 and Bigger Woodchip can go as high as $8.50. Of course, their age may affect those prices as the years pass, so keep an eye out when people complain about expenses. The Go-Kart rides should also have their prices increased, especially Turnpike as it rests at a criminally low $2.00. The line for the Go-Kart rides are immensely long and you can notice a couple of peeps already leaving the line in anger. Either shorten the lines or add entertainers to patrol the area. Finally, set all inspection times to 10 minutes to ensure their safety. For extra safety, you can set the roller coasters to have only one train to avoid Station Break Failure crashes.

For staff, there's only one handyman and one mechanic. You'll need to hire a lot of handymen due to how much ground there is to cover, the sweet spot being around 10. Although it's a lot of wages to pay for, the price increase you made for your rides will more than make up for it. Hire two more mechanics to have one covering both roller coasters, one inspecting King Karts, and one maintaining Turnpike. As mentioned before, you might need a couple of entertainers for the Go-Kart rides to keep unhappy people from walking off, but it's only if you decide to not shorten the lines.

Try to build around trees or underground to avoid deforestation.

New rides will be challenging thanks to the abundance of firs and spruces that populate the area. With how bunched up some of them are, you may even have to take down a tree just to get the other tree that's hiding behind it. Moreover, tearing down too many trees will lower the excitement rating of your rides. The entrances to your rides are at the west side of the park, so focus on placing rides at the east side first to keep guests from getting bored from wandering. There's also a lake at the east side that should give your rides some breathing room. Although you will have to tear down trees for your coasters, try your best to move around the trees and Woodchip coasters. Building around scenery is a useful skill that can help in later levels. Moreover, build underground to decrease any more tree-chopping.

For gentle rides, try to get the Observation Tower and place it near Turnpike and Bigger Woodchip for a high excitement rating. Carousels and Ferris Wheels are also good thanks to the scenery. For shops and stalls, set research to maximum and earn the Information Kiosk first. When you get it, place it near the entrance of the park to keep guests from getting lost as the path system is pretty obtuse. Place around three food and drink stalls and four or five bathrooms within reasonable distance of one another. Don't forget to lay down some benches and bins afterward.

You should see a very large increase of guests and profits after you built your own roller coaster or two and placed a decent amount of shops. Make use of those profits to put out advertising for new rides. Build more coasters and simple rides at a steady rate to keep the guests flowing in and you should reach a thousand guests in no time. Keep in mind of your guests hunger and the puke that must be cleaned near the Woodchip roller coasters to keep your rating in the 900s.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is a construction and management simulation video game developed by Origin8 Technologies and published by Atari. The game combines features that were first seen in RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which were both amusement park management simulators created by Chris Sawyer for the PC. The game was released worldwide for iOS and Android in December 2016, while a version for Microsoft Windows and macOS was released in September 2017.

    Gameplay

Classic implements the same gameplay as the first two games in the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. Played from an isometric view, players are tasked with building or revitalizing an amusement park by adding rides, attractions, facilities, paths, landscaping, and staff to manage the park. In particular, the game allows players to plan out a wide array of custom roller coasters and other rides using tracks, such as log flumes and go-karts. The player also must manage the park's finances to make sure they bring in sufficient revenues from guests to cover the cost of running the park and installing new features.

    Development

Chris Sawyer had developed the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and its sequel RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which released respectively in 1999 and 2002. The games had come out of his work developing a sequel to Transport Tycoon, which he released in 1994. Sawyer allowed Frontier Developments to develop RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 while he worked on Locomotion, a 2004 spiritual successor to Transport Tycoon. Following this release, Sawyer had appeared to disappear from the games industry; according to Sawyer in a 2016 interview, he took this absence in part over the legal difficulties he had over securing unpaid royalties from Atari, whom had acquired the rights to publish the RollerCoaster Tycoon series through Infogrames' purchase of Hasbro Interactive. He also stated that he was disappointed with the state of video games during this period which focused too much on violence.
